Tea Party Trouble is the first segment of the second episode of Fancy Nancy.
Synopsis[]
After Nancy accidentally breaks a family heirloom, she tries to hide it.
Story[]
Nancy and Bree are delighted over the former's tea party. It is revealed to be an imagination, and Nancy's mailbox arrives with Bree's RSVP. It states that Bree and Chiffon can come to the tea party, and Nancy decides to get everything ready. Meanwhile, Doug and Claire are moving the bed for JoJo upstairs when Nancy tells them about the tea party. She gets her grandma's teapot, but Claire states that it is a family heirloom, which will be passed on to Nancy and her children one day, and she doesn't want anything to happen to it. Since it was just sitting there, Nancy will take it, as long as she is careful with it.
Nancy decides to invite JoJo to the tea party, although she doesn't have good manners. Later, Nancy finishes setting up the tea party, and Bree thinks it's wonderful. The tea party then begins, and Nancy serves everyone apple juice. So far, everyone likes it, but afterwards, JoJo knocks over Chiffon's tea. With Nancy all out of tea, her charm is stuck in the teapot. As she tries to get it, her hand gets stuck. Bree decides to tell Nancy's mom, but Nancy refuses, as she promised she never let anything happen to it. JoJo then arrives, and Nancy decides to hide the heirloom.
Meanwhile, Doug and Claire are continuing to move the bed upstairs, and Nancy states that Marabelle needs a nap. She then decides to leave the teapot on the kitchen counter when JoJo arrives, wanting to play with Nancy and Bree. However, the bed soon blocks the way to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Nancy and Bree have no luck freeing Nancy's hand from the heirloom, and afterwards, Doug and Claire start moving the bed upstairs. Doug thanks Nancy for watering the plants, and while he continues work on the bed, Nancy and Bree head upstairs with JoJo following. JoJo brings Nancy the long spoon Claire mixes cookie batter with so Nancy can pry her hand loose.
Nancy wonders what will happen if Grandma's teapot isn't in the kitchen, and she and Bree try different ways to free her hand, but with no luck. Nancy decides to use Chic Cheeck Face Lotion to make her hand slide out, and it works. Just then, JoJo arrives with the spoon. Nancy takes it, and accidentally uses it to break the heirloom. Bree tells Nancy to tell the truth, but Nancy decides to glue the teapot together. However, it still breaks afterwards. Nancy decides to tell the truth to Claire. Meanwhile, Claire and Doug finish the bed for JoJo, who doesn't like it as it's too big. Nancy and Bree then arrive, and Nancy tells the truth about what happened. Claire states it's okay, as accidents happen. She shows Nancy and Bree that she accidentally chipped a teapot when she was young, and was nervous to tell Grandma about it, but she said that there's a good story to go along with it, just like the current teapot. Nancy and Claire then hug it out.
